PREMIERE of Jeanie and The White Boys' BIG UDDER BLUES video!

Updated: 3 days ago

Words by Jed Morgans

Jeanie and The White Boys is an unapologetically bold and irreverent music project born from the underground queer art scene and fuelled by raw energy, biting satire, and a deep love for rock and roll. Fronted by Jeanie, a charismatic and rebellious creative force, the band blends punk ethos with theatrical performance, creating a sound that’s as subversive as it is addictive.

Jeanie, a filmmaker and performance artist turned musician, brings her knack for storytelling and visual artistry to the band’s identity. Collaborating with seasoned musicians Dom (Toy) and Bleu (Warmduscher), Jeanie and The White Boys deliver high-energy anthems that tackle themes of societal absurdities, personal pain, and the messy beauty of life.

With their incendiary debut single making waves and an upcoming release, Queen Bee, on the horizon, the band is rapidly gaining a reputation for their electrifying live performances and razor-sharp commentary. Jeanie and The White Boys are not just a band—they’re a movement, rallying against apathy and inspiring a new wave of creative rebellion.

The Jeanie and The White Boys train isn't stopping just yet though, we at HIDEOUS Magazine have the honour of premiering the music video for the bands latest single 'Big Udder Blues. You can watch the XXX version exclusively here, and the Censored Version too below...

We had a few questions for Jeanie...

What is big udder blues?

It's a realisation that a staggeringly high percentage of the male population wanna keep sucking on their mommy's titties instead of taking accountability, maturing and achieving a sense of independence that matches the level that women have had to strive to reach at this current point in history.

I got the idea for the lyric from an ex conquest, who after a melange of fuckery, I kicked him out. The final straw was me walking in on him performing some kinda sexy selfie photoshoot in my bed to send to a teenager. His retort was "i don't care anyway because you're a plastic cow with big udders and you’re like a fucking man". It was 3am and I rang Dom instantly and said "we need to record now. I’ve got an idea." I wrote the lyrics  and melody in the cab on the way to the studio, sang the melody and Dom licked down the guitar riff. We also wrote another song that night titled 'I’m man'! That will be out next year.

How did you come up with the idea for the video?

I was sitting in the pub with my mate Farry, explaining the situation with my ex. Farry said, “He sounds like a bitty man.” I asked, “What’s a bitty man?” and he explained that it’s a man who likes to be nursed like a baby. It was too perfect—the universe had done its work. So, my mate and I got busy fleshing out the concept.

We called up all the men we knew and asked if they’d be up for being nursed by a grown woman. Unsurprisingly, we were inundated with enthusiastic replies. At that point, we knew we were onto a winner.

Next, we had the task of finding women to play the nurses. Fortunately, my sister was on board, and many of my mates, who related to the idea that most men just want to suck on their mothers’ titties, were happy to help make this urgent piece of art a reality.

Why have you decided to start a band now?

I’m a single woman with no children or responsibilities, living right in the middle of dystopia. There’s a racist rapist in the White House, and I’m watching the divide between the working and middle classes grow wider every day. Women’s rights, trans people, gay people and working class people's rights are under attack. The only way I know how to deal with the emotions of utter disgust and rage is to write about them. If I weren’t doing this, I’d probably be behind bars.

For me, the two hardest things in life to deal with are the death of loved ones and unrequited love. It feels like so many people don’t understand the marvel of life and what makes us human; instead, they add to the pain and chaos. Being part of music and art creates a community that becomes your chosen family. It’s a matter of survival.

One of the biggest tricks capitalism has played is making people feel like they aren’t artists. People need to express themselves to reach self-actualization. It’s a matter of freedom—and I want to start a cult.

I think it’s really important to create and define yourself within a community that shares your values and morals. Or, failing that, at least with people you can have a laugh with.

How is the tour going?

We were pretty lucky that, after only nine shows, Warmduscher invited us on tour. It’s been hell—in the best way. It’s me and 13 emotionally unstable musicians with an insatiable urge to get mashed up

Honestly, it’s felt like my own stag-do, except, for once, I wasn’t the hired stripper—it was clams. Seriously though, I really appreciate Warmduscher’s support. They’ve encouraged me from day one. They’re like my older brothers, and I’m like their cock-block sister.

How did you meet?

I'm easily distracted so as you can imagine I was busy doing activities that are extremely enjoyable but in the long run very time consuming. When you're partying all the time, you do meet interesting characters, which is where I met Dom - we shared a love for musicians like Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and The Rolling Stones. I was in a post-punk band called Unmade Bed, and Dom was in a band called Toy. He was always really encouraging to me, so it just made sense to collaborate.

We met Bleu at a party. He was an instant vibe, so he joined.

Background

Bleu is in Warmduscher, and Dom is in Toy, so they’ve been in successful bands for years. I was doing a lot of performance art in the underground queer scene and eventually got into filmmaking. My work caught the attention of rock-and-roll bands, and they started asking me to make visuals for them.

The musicians around me encouraged me to start making my own music. I’ve always been writing songs and making music, but it was a personal thing until now.

What’s coming up?

We’ve got our second release, Queen Bee, coming out soon. It was inspired by finding out that the royals are a bunch of thieving, robbing bastards. We already knew that, but now the evidence is out, and the feeling across the nation is palpable. I’m not dumb, and neither is the jury. End of.

Queen Bee will come with a video before the end of the year, along with some banging remixes in the works. We’ve also been invited to record with one of our rock-and-roll heroes at his home studio.

Next year, we’ve been invited back by the Strummerville fund to perform at Glastonbury. I’m also writing duets with some prolific reprobates on the London scene—entirely dependent on their ability to stay alive and out of prison.
